Re: Renault Clip
Remove the trim around the rear view mirror and see if you have the sensor fitted to the screen. This is the rain and light sensor. To activate it you need to push the button for about 5 seconds with the key in, and engine off, to deactivate it, do the same but with the engine running, or vice versa...

keycard
Has anyone had any luck fixing the replace battery fault on the keycards. Checked the board and everything looks fine and the card still works but this is a pain. Surely its a simple fix and you know where to look

Re: Starting problem
I would recommend you get canclip hooked up to it as only this diagnostic system shows you a uch bsi and ecu status as you carry out requests. It will flag up as live data as to what parameters are out of tollerence. Fuel drain back is very unlikely. Check your engine ecu model which is on the ecu o...

engine fan
Just fitted new radiator to my megane 2, 1.9dci. I opened the bleed screws and filled the system. After 30 mins of reving and waiting my fan still does not come on. The temp gauge just stays at the half way point as normal so it cant be over heating. Has anyone else noticed the same or shine some li...

Re: megane 2 popping out of 3rd gear
Hope fully its just a selector cable needing adjusted otherwise I fear they have not replaced all the selecters needed inside the box. Only good point is that its there mistake and should redo the work for free

Re: Reverse Lights not working
Sounds faulty to me. You can check by shorting the 2 wires that go to the switch together and the light should come on along with the rear wiper. The switches are more or less universal on all renaults so unipart or a good motorfactors should be able to supply the part. Its a simply unscrew and scre...

Re: card reader
Have to remove the upper console trims working down the way, there are torx screws behind some trims holding the next trim on. Card readers are not coded. To get the ignition put card in and hold start button without touching any pedals. Takes around 10 seconds until the ignition comes on. Ecu in th...

Re: Clutch Problem? 1.5dCi
Just done my clutch and I would check hehind the pedal that the part with the spring and plastic piston is still in place. The pedal should be flush with the brake pedal. The clutch on my 1.9dci has a self adjusting pressure plate that runs out of adjustment and causes the clutch to slip like you de...

10 to 20mm is correct. Try removing the cables from the calipers and wind the piston back in as this should reset the caliper and maybe sort your problem

Re: about Megane 2 key card progrmming !
The elm device is fine for your car but only reads engine faults. As for your keycard you need renault canclip but unless you access the dealer network even that will not work. Im afraid that the only way is to put it into a dealer. The new cards have to be ordered from your chassis number and come ...

Re: Coil Spring Advice Needed!!
Front springs are a pig to do as you need to remove the strut which involves removing other parts as there is not much room on the meganes. The rear are very simple and should be do able by anyone with a socket set. Should be no more then a mornings work for a proper garage but all depends on the ho...
