Re: passenger window!

Hi there. I took my door card off last year to look at the regulator unit that normally packs up. Just typed in "Megane cc door card removal" and a video camera straight up. Just done it again and it still comes straight up. Only difference with mine is that the plug holding the arm rest b...

Re: brake discs

There are some pdf's for the megane on this site that you can look at. I think the one you need is titled MR364MEGANE3. It shows the braking system. :D
Page 52 is about the rear brakes.

Re: brake discs

Hi. I have just changed my front discs myself. They are just like standard ones. Caliper off, disc off, replace disc, push piston back by hand / wood and refit. Took me a couple of hours on a sunny day. I decided to let my local garage do the back ones as I didn't want the hassle if the bearings wer...

Re: 2004 megane cc

Just a thought, close the door with the passenger one open. When I do this the drivers window always closes as it should. I think mine is also down to the pressure build up inside the car when you shut the door. Still going to adjust it anyway. :D

Re: 2004 megane cc

Hi again, yes mine is the same. When I close the drivers door I have to push the glass at the top to make it flush with the rear window. If I am driving I flick the window down a bit and back up and the gap closes. As I said before you can move the window with some screws located at the bottom of th...

Re: 2004 megane cc

Hi there, no the windows don't drop when you open and close the doors. They just press onto the seal when you close the doors. They will drop down to the bottom when you put the roof down. Is the gap all the way across the top or just at one end? is it lined up with the edge of the rear quarter windo...

Re: Driver’s Side Window Not Working

Hi there. I' ve had the same fault on my megane cc. Mine used to start working after wriggling the wiring loom or regulator unit on the offending window. There are some video' s on YouTube showing you how to get to each unit. One shows you how to get to the front ones via the speaker hole. Quicker t...

Re: Dash displaying 'Check Gearbox'

Hi. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but this a common problem with the auto gearbox. I bought mine brand new and had this fault in the first year. It is a 2008 model and started playing up again this year. Renault UK paid for half of the cost of replacing the solenoid unit which changes the gears...

Re: honking when reversing

Hi. Mine used to make a droning noise from the rear brakes when I reversed. This happened from new. Took it to Renault but they never solved it. My brothers did the same, never sorted his either. Inherent problem as with the electric window fault. Lived with it and now its cured itself. Never made a...

Re: "Auto" on Climate Control always has slow fan speed - Wh

Hi there. I don't know if this will help or not. I had a problem a couple of years ago with my 2008 cc when the air con went haywire every so often. it turned out to be the sensor located on the drivers mirror (Bubble underneath it). If you look on the display where the radio is, the outside tempera...

Re: rear window & juddering

I don't think you can get the regulator off unless you remove the whole window assembly as on the youtube video, you may be able to get it working again for a while though. :D

Re: rear window & juddering

Hi, just to let you know. Renault now replace the regulator and wiring for any megane up to the age of TEN years. I spoke to Renault UK a couple of weeks ago when I had my gearbox problem. They give you 76% discount as they accept this is a design fault but it will still cost you between £80 and £11...

Re: Meane Engine Revs

Hi, mine used to do this when you first started off then OK for the rest of the journey , every time you started the car. Local garage found it to be a lamda sensor on the exhaust system. After a while it came up with the engine management light on as well. Cost me about £120 to get it sorted. Maybe...

Re: Hi from Sheffield

Hi Ian and welcome. The windows can be repaired with Renault paying 76% of the cost (so Renault UK have told me last week) with all meganes up to 10 years old. Mine (2008 model) has the passenger one acting up every so often. This still leaves you with a bill of between £80 and £110. I've not had mi...

Re: New CC owner

Hi there and welcome. I can answer the window question. The windows go right down when you open the roof and go back up if you hold the roof open button down after the boot beeps when it has shut. The same will happen when you put the roof back up and hold the roof up button again after the roof has...
