CD Changer installation question
It's been a while... 2005 Megane Dynamique saloon. The cd player no longer ejects discs so it's of no use but I have a 6 cd changer (Sony CDX-T69) that was in another Renault and worked fine. I've installed it into the Megane but for some reason it will only play cd 1, if you press button 2,3,4,5 or...

Re: tailgate lock inopperative
I had the same problem recently, a broken/damaged wire in the wiring loom that gets stretched when you open the boot. If you open the boot you will see the loom in question on the left hand side, you could try opening up the loom to expose the wires to check these.

What exactly do I have to wiggle to make it stop!
Car is due to be tested soon, 2005 megane dynamique 1.4 saloon. I have the airbag / service light on all the time, I've looked under the drivers seat and rooted around (technical term), There doesn't seem to be any inline connector, that I can see anyway, to push together, I've wiggled the connector...

Re: Anti-roll bars?
It may be just the anti- roll bar bushings that need to be replaced, if so, cheap as chips.

Re: Driver Side Door Handle
I have the same issue, decided to purchase chrome door handle covers, type 'megane door handle covers' into ebay search box, you will get a set of four covers for about 30 quid, haven't got them yet, waiting on delivery but they look the biz and a much cheaper option so you could try that. Alan

Starting issue
2005 1.4 petrol Dynamique saloon. starts but won't idle, just cuts out. If you keep it reved up and move off, it's fine, even if you have to come to a stop shortly afterwards it won't cut out again and idle is ok. It seems to be a 'first thing in the morning problem or if the car has been parked up ...

Re: windows stuck and 'card not detected'
I can't help with the key card problem I'm afraid....as regards the windows, it may not be the window regulators, when these go the windows tend to open and stay open!! so as the previous post said, it may be the fuses or possibly the window switch's. If it is the regulators, here is a recent quote ...

Re: Door Regulator
Have a look at the 'Index of manuals and technical notes' post and download and print MR365MEGANE7.pdf That has all the info on removing the door card. If you are replacing a renault regulator you will have to fit the motor to the regulator you get on ebay. The regulator will look different but it w...

Re: Two Questions
Thanks for that, forgive my complete ignorance but what is the fix, what do I need to purchase and fit to cure the problem with the boot? The underseat connector I believe is a common problem, is it safe enough to just disconnect it and bypass it with a decent soldering job or do I have to go discon...

Two Questions
Hi guys, hopefully you can help, Q1 The boot problem, where it locks and won't open unless you crawl in the boot via the rear seat and push the little plastic thingy to the side with a small screwdriver, will work a few times and then stop working Is this a mechanical problem or an electrical proble...

In the idex of manuals and technical notes thread, there is pretty good info on removing the door card, would have been lost without it last weekend.

Re: Help identify a part please - window motor
Not 100% sure if they are supposed to be or not but when I changed my two regulators last weekend both my motors were floating also, when I removed the door card. So, good chance it's ok.

Re: Help identify a part please - window motor
Well, best of luck with your visit to the main dealer, I'd be most surprised if he doesn't tell you that all he can do is is supply you with a complete reg + motor at an extortionate price!!! I need a little plastic button for the handbrake (worth about 50p I'd say) and my main dealer told me, nope,...

Re: Help identify a part please - window motor
No problem welshy, Not 100% sure but think motor and controller come as a set, type megane window regulator motor into the search box on ebay and what you need (used one) will pop up (photo identical to yours) for 26 quid and will be delivered to your door, again not 100% sure but I think it's diffi...

Re: Help identify a part please - window motor
As I understand it, the little black attatchment to the motor is the motor controller, a couple of things it does is 1. limits the current to the motor to protect it, and 2. it changes the polarity of the D.C. volts applied to the motor when you operate the window switch, making the motor to turn on...
