Thanks very much chris....... Been back to garage and it seems its the fan motor. Basically it came decogged or something like that. they took a motor out from just under the windscreen under bonnet and repositioned it........voila done........ But now evrytime i shut the doors the flaps seem to ope...

Rekindling an old thread but i have the same issue.
The noise lasts on mine for around 5-10 secs and is a loud clicking noise and it happens whether it is running or i just move the heater control knob so I expect its something to do with the heater

Any new ideas??????
