If terminal really is oversize rather than stripped thread on securing bolt , I suggest a piece of lead flashing cut into an appropriate width/length is wrapped around terminal post .Job Done
Nb lead flashing , NOT flashband which is of course aluminium

I thought this, even changed the battery . This none working occurs every time I visit . I now use the key .

Obviously, you can't lock the car with the battery disconnected. So, make sure you remove all items from the car and don't leave any of the key cards in the house. Best bet in my opinion is to remove the battery and ask a friend/relative/neighbour to trickle charge it for a couple of hours each wee...

The redundant ashtray was stopping the lid from closing properly. ( it requires some careful positioning ).
