i have on a few times got away with a zip tie. I dont advise this thou i would get the proper metal clip. Any good motor factor sells these for about a £1. i have just done the belt on my 1.9 and the pump did not need locking as the injection is controled by the ecu and i am a 99% sure yours dusnt need timing. just make sure you get the tension correct

first of it is very common for the bleed niples to be of that size. Hayner recomend a new drive shaft as running the joint with out the special grease rapidly wears the joint so it is very likly you have damaged yours. thanks for your help guys, i have only recently bought the car and the change oil soon light was on so i suspect it has done 18k miles with the same oil and how ever long the light has been on for. I used magnatec which only met standards b3 and was 10w40. I am going to flush it out any way. I Might...

i have just recently done an oil change on my 1.9dci 03. i poured a can of engine flush in drained all oil and replaced the filter. upon checking the oil after only a short journey it is black which is to be expected but on the end of the dip stick it is like a thick sludge, when rubbed in the finge...

check that the joints between the turbo and manifold, turbo and cat, and cat and down pipe for any leaks of exhaust gases. If the garage hasnt put new gaskets on or cleaned the mating faces corectly then this will be the likly cause. This steeply afects mpg.

hi managed to clean my throtle housing last nyt in the dark. When i was starting my car up it was it was idleing at about 500 then picking up in steps and after about 5secs was seteling at about 800. would it be possible to get to the badge off if you remove one orboth of the grill inserts either side of the badge as these are easy to remove and there is alot of room between the bumper and radiator and the holes where the grills are, are of decent size

i am pretty sure you dont disconect the hose from the throttle body but at the other end where it goes to the canister, should be quick release

is it possible to blank the egr valve off as i have seen it done on older diesel engines. its suposed to run better and quiter aswel. what a daft law anyway recurculating gases. global warming is all a conspiracy anyway.

anyone herd of blanking the valve out
