Happened to mine once, i refilled it and it sorted the problem.......

It was kind of nice, as mine was stuck on 1/4 tank and i thought that was strange as it didnt move for over 100 miles... but i think the refill gave the float thing a nudge.... lol

PLEASE HELP !!!

Hi all, Please help, what radio / CD do i need for my 2004 1.6 Megane ii ??? So far i have tried two, one was to small, and the second (Which i will come onto in a minute) just beeps when its plugged in, which i assume is telling me its the wrong one !! The latest one is BRAND NEW so i know its not ...

UPDATE !! Problem sorted - Bought a new camsensor and all is okay in the world of Megane now :P I also cleaned all other plugs / connectors with WD40 and gave the trhrottle body a good clean out with brake cleaner..... I also sorted the issue with the car cutting on after start up (WHen cold) That s...

Mine was the TDC which i cleaned with brake cleaner and resolved the issue...
I also changed the cam sensor and WD40'd all plugs / connectors visible on the engine....


As i said mine works a treat now, and a lot cheaper than the £500 renault wanted !!!!

Thanks for that.... I spotted it after i posted.... Dooh ! :P
It has gave me a number which is totally different from the one i had before, which is very strange !

Is there more than one possible code ?

Just waiting for the battery to charge and i will try the new number.... fingers crossed :)

Radio Code

Hi All, Can anyone help, i changed my battery and now the code i have written down wont work (I cant be sure it was for this radio, when i got the car i found a free site which gave me the number but for love nor money i cant find it again!) Can anyone on here help or point me in the right direction...

Yes.... well they do on the wifes Zsara Picasso.....

Changed to some new Mitchelin tyres and MPG increased by 5mpg !!!

On other cars ive had I've never checked as they werent cars that were exactly good on fuel..... Focus ST, Clio 182 cup etc......

Arrrrr well it obviously wasnt the Cam sensor...... Both fault codes came back within 50 miles......... Any suggestions please before i get rid of it..... (Yes its getting that annoying now where the option i can see is taking a large loss and selling it as it is) Many thanks (Hoping) in advance Dave

Right.... I have replaced the Cam sensor (2 minute job) and then checked the diagnostics and it came back the the same P3040 fault, I have cleared this and lets see if / when the dreaded engine managment light comes back on ?? Funnily enough it still started very rough and cut out when cold.. Arrhhhh

ive ordered a new camsensor so once it arrives I'll fit it and see if it works...
I have cleared the fault codes AGAIN so lets see how many miles before the engine light comes on and i will let you all know if its the same fault codes :)

Hopefully this may help someone else having similar issues :P
