Megane dci 175 Purchase?

I've been running my current Dynamique 120 for the past four years, and apart from the usual EGR valve and front window regulators it's been utterly reliable for me. The car I always wanted was the dci 175, and I think I'm going to buy one now if I can find a low-ish mileage one with five doors; som...

Re: Door Loom

I've eventually got around to getting two door looms from Renault - a bit less than expected at £81 each + VAT. Is there any way to stop the leaks into the door pockets while the doors are open to fit the looms? What's the normal fix for this guys? I really don't want to give Renault any more money!...

Re: Door Loom

Thanks for the reply - I did post with 247spares but surprisingly never got a single reply from anyone offering a loom(s)..... it might be a case of trying to repair it as you mentioned, as I imagine Renault will be looking for me to remortgage the house for two new looms... :(

Door Loom

Hi all..... Is it only possible to get a drivers door wiring loom from Renault dealers? I was having a search online (breakers, eBay etc) but nobody appears to have one. If anyone has a part number for this, and a rough price from Renault I'd be most grateful. Nothing worse than windows not working ...

Re: How Long To Change EGR Valve?

Well, after half an hour of work with a centre punch on a broken EGR valve flange and liberal amounts of WD40, it eventually came out - the relief that the flange never totally broke off meaning the manifold coming off was unbelievable! The bad news is that it appears the EGR valve wasn't the proble...

Re: How Long To Change EGR Valve?

It turns out it wouldn't start because the idiots at Arnold Clark managed to break the EGR valve, and a bit is now stuck in the manifold - after much arguments, I paid them nothing and towed it away from their rotten, overpriced workshop. New valve arrived this morning - fantastic service from world...

Yup, I can get a brand new original Renault item for £83, but wanted to know how long it should take to actually change it out from start to finish? I'm no mechanic, but to the best of my knowledge it's about four bolts and an electrical connection....

How Long To Change EGR Valve?

Would I be wrong in thinking it should take less than an hour to change out the EGR valve on a Megane 1.9dci? The car has been in "limp home mode" for a couple of days and showing 'check injection' and 'toxic fume filter' errors - a friend took out the EGR valve and cleaned it, but it was ...
