I'm getting a Check Injection warning on a 2004 Megane Dynamique 1.5 dCi (86 bhp). It comes up occasionally and the car seems to be performing ok.
Does anyone know what this alarm actually indicates? What kind of injection system fault will cause this fault indication?

Radio Code after Battery Change
Yesterday, after the battery was renewed on my step-daughter's Megane 1.5 dCi (2004 model) the radio won't work without entering the code. The old battery was the original - nearly 8 years service isn't bad... Any ideas where I can get the radio code or get around the problem? The car, originally mi...

Re: Air Bag Warning Light
Thanks Mike & Tomalamix. I disconnected the main connector under floor carpet and took the passenger seat out and played around with the connectors, couldn't actually see anything wrong. Put it all back together and no airbag light when I started the car. For now all is good, but for how long? H...

Re: Air Bag Warning Light
Thanks for the info. I found multi-pin connectors under the left hand side front of the driver's seat and right hand side of the passenger seat. They have sliding locks you pull out to disconnect them. Is that the right ones or am I missing something? I disconnected and reconnected them a few times ...

Air Bag Warning Light
The airbag and spanner warning lights are showing up on my 2008 Megane 1.5 dCi. The first time it happened, I switched the airbag off and on (switch by drivers door) and the warning lights went off. Now the lights are back on again and won't cancel. So, I guess it's a trip to the Renault dealer! Any...

Electric window problem
On my 2008 Megane 1.5 dCi the passenger side electric front window has stopped working. Neither the local or remote switch will open/close the window. The driver's side front and both rear windows all work as normal. Anybody had the same or similar problem? If so, what was the problem and how did yo...

Strange noise when accelerating
This concerns my stepdaughter's '04 Megane 1.5 dCi (86 bhp) which has done approx 52K miles. The car has a full Renault dealer service history. This car used to be mine (from new) 2 years ago and I drive an '08 1.5 dCi (106 bhp) model now. When you accelerate hard, there is a hissing/whooshing soun...

Noise From Tailgate Area
For a while on rough roads I've been getting a slight but annoying clunking noise from the tailgate area. I've sat in the back with my wife driving and played around with things trying to stop the noise - all to no avail. The car is a 2008 Megane 1.5dCi 106 BHP Tech Run with 17K miles on the clock. ...

Re: MPG on Megane Tech Run dCi 1.5 106 bhp
What tyres are on each car? I changed from Michelin Energy's to Goodyear Excellence earlier this year (when unemployed) and the mpg has got a lot worse (mostly because I now have a short urban commute than a longer extra-urban one before). The Goodyear's are no good, other than in the cold, snow ic...

MPG on Megane Tech Run dCi 1.5 106 bhp
I previously owned a 2004 Megane dCi 80 bhp (5 spd gearbox) and my wife, who drove it most of the time, used to get well over 50 mpg around town, usually around 53 mpg plus. Through the full range of driving we were able to match the mpg specs. Last year we changed to a Megane Tech Run dCi 1.5 106 b...

Re: front Headrests
How can I get the passenger side front headrest back in. Someone has pulled it out of the seat and now it won't go back in?. Looking down the two holes there seem to be thick metal bars in the way. The Haynes manual is useless and I can't find anything on the net. Press in the locks (plastic bits) ...

Re: what oil should i buy for my car
I used Castrol Magnatec Diesel 10W/40 (semi-synthetic) in my last 1.5dCI. Available at Halfords - plus you can get advice at Halfords or from their website. The Halfords website shows Castrol Edge Turbo Diesel 5W-40 (fully synthetic) for the dCI Megane. Check the oil specs in the owners manual and i...
