Re: Aircon not working

How do you mean it's normally the culprit? I've done a search and all I can get is previous posts about topping up the system with aftermarket kits. Is there semething I can check before I ask Renault?

Thanks
Jon

Re: Aircon not working

Thanks for the replies but does anyone know where the fuse & relay are located for the aircon just in case I can get away with a cheap fix?

Thanks
Jon

Aircon not working

Hi all, hopefully this is an easy one. First warm day of the year so I reach for the aircon (I do know about using it through the winter and to my knowledge it's been woeking) but no cold air. I've tried switching it on and off while the car is idling but apart from the light on the button coming on...

Re: Post 100k DCi 1.5 80 Dynamic 54

Mine's done 94k with no probs and is still putting in 55ish to the gallon so I would have thought that if the history is good it shouldn't be a problem.

Re: Megane

I don't think the button in the middle of the sunroof control does anything. At least it doesn't in mine!

Re: Servicing question for 1.5dci

Yep warranty will be fine as long as they carry out the same service and using Renault approved parts.

Rear Alarm Sensor

Hi All, I have a 1.5dci 3dr Dynamique and one of the rear alarm sensors has been missing since I've owned the car, just the two wires left sticking out of the trim. Does anyone know if it's possible to buy them from Renault or elsewhere at a reasonable cost?

Thanks in advance!

Re: keycard not working in specific location

I had this in a certain Shell Garage forecourt recently although the battery on the card was getting low at the time so something may have interfered with it maybe?

Re: How long can megane 2 be left unused and still function?

Is it worth disconnecting the battery or is this likely to cause more problems?

Re: Advice about buying a used megane

I have a 1.5dci 100 with the 5 speed box and it's definitely at least 2500 rpm in 5th at 70mph. I think the engine power v's economy is brilliant on these and the only thing I would look for is a 6 speeder if poss as it would be a more peaceful cruise. (don't get me wrong the 5sp isn't a problem but...

Top engine cover?

Does is just pull off and clip back into place or am I missing something?

Apologies if this is a duplicate question but can't find any reference to it by searching. (could be mine is just holding firm but couldn't remove it just now).

Thanks!

Cruz Roof Bars and the Panoramic Sunroof

Hi, just thought I'd pass on my findings re: the above. I had a set of Cruz roof bars on a Citroen C5 and wanted to use them on my 3dr Megane with Panoramic roof. The roofbox company sell the brackets for them but list them as being unsuitable for cars with the sunroof, (as do all the other supplier...

Re: 1.5DCi Engine

Mine's a 1.5dci 100 with 82,000 on the clock. I do an 85 mile cross country round trip 5 days a week and it's great for this. Cheap to run and plenty of go. I would try and get a later car with the 6 speed box though if you can for a more relaxed motorway drive.

Jaybee Motors in Banbury

I always think it's worth telling people about good service as well as the reverse so here is my two-penneth on my local Renault main dealer. I purchased my Megane at approx 5 years old from Jaybee Motors in Banbury last year and while the car has been great there were a few issues to sort under war...

Re: Megane v's Front Light Bulbs

Hi, thanks for the replies, yes everything is watertight and no sign of problems elsewhere. (also been careful only to touch the metallic part of the bulb). So I think I'll try some of the Osram ones next time!

Cheers
Jon
