So, it's probably the camshaft position sensor....

It could be the dephaser pulley (the actual coq is not oiled the first time), or most probably the camshaft position sensor.

Is there any strange engine noise when you first fire up? If the car is on the move, does the engine die?

How? The grilles only unclip from the inside!

I'd like to skip the hassle of taking the bumper off - I'm fitting the grilles on a colleague's car next week.

Yes, you can get the 225 grilles (off Ebay for example), but in order to install them you need to take the front bumber off. I've done it, it's a 3min job.

I have replaced my speakers on the rear doors. I actually posted a how-to guide (that was almost a year ago), here's the actual thread...

So........ this is a long forgotten thread.

Has anyone ANY kind of photos regarding the installation of the BMC-CDA (preferably on a 1.6)? Especially, instructions on how to remove the airbox?

They are very similar to the AEZ Xylo, nevertheless they are very nice and look spot on! My car is the same colour and I was thinking of getting some anthracite alloys, could I bother you for a picture, once you put the alloys on the car again? I would love to see how the Flame Red goes with anthrac...

Chose the first option, as I am out of my (standard for Greece) 2 year warranty, almost a month now. I am keeping it, since won't be able to buy a new car for at least 5-6 years, I am just praying it won't cost me an arm and a leg to keep it running...

A slight clarification... I ordered the car on Dec 2004, and it was delivered on Jan 2005. So it's a 2004 'tunerlist' Euro 3 car. Late 2004, but nontheless 2004.

Could it be that your bottom engine mount is failing? Get it checked at your dealer...

I voted for the last one.

My throttle is working as gently as any other car I have driven, i.e. I do not experience the cut-off feeling that you describe when you lift your foot off the gas pedal.

I admit the clutch has a 'narrow' engaging point, but I must say I prefer it that way.

Use this converter... https://www.convert-me.com/en/convert/fuel

I get around 8-5 to 9 lt/100km (stuck in traffic), which is between 31.39 and 33.23 mpg. When travelling at around 120-140kmh I get around 6.8-7.0 lt/100km, which again translates between 40.35 and 41.54 mpg.
