Well, thats it - the Megane is being sold.....
Well Guys, after nearly eight years of owning my Megane CC it's time for it to make way for something else. There have been ups and downs with the car, but it's served me well. The depreciation is eye watering - lost nearly 20K on it in since I bought it new in late 2005. :-( Thanks to this forum fo...

Water leak in footwells - my solution
After suffering a massive leak into the drivers side footwell, I did battle with it - firstly dying the carpets/ sound proofing and then unblocking the drains for the scuttle (cause of the water entering the car). Hope this helps others out. I assume this is similar to the hatchbacks, so perhaps cou...

Re: water in footwells need opinons please!!!!
I'm having a similar problem with mine, but on the drivers side. I t appears to be leaking at the join between the door window an the rear quarter light. It looks like the door window is going too high, so when you close the door it hits the seal on the roof and stops it sealing onto the rear quarte...

Re: Boot wont lock !
OK, this is the fault I had - it is the switch in one of the door locks that has failed-the ecu thinks the door is n't shut so it won't lock. I suspect it will be the drivers door, if you are careful you can prove which door it is by disconnecting the big connector from the door to the A post. Be ca...

Re: Boot wont lock !
When you say you can hear it locking does it sound like it locks the unlocks straight away? If so, when you are in the car with all the doors shut does the dash say a door is open?

Re: Central locking fault.
It might be worth checking the batteries in the key cards, they don't seem to last long even my rarely used spare refused to unlock the car the other day when I needed to move it and SWMBO took the keycard with her when see went out in the Mondeo.

Re: Egr placement on Megane 1.6vvt 05 plate
First thing that comes to mind is throttle body. Lots of smoke if black would indicate a very rich mixture. Certainly sounds like it could be a sensor or maybe even the injectors. When the dephaser starts to fail it sounds more like a fault with the starter motor, a metallic clicking noise, and on m...
