Re: Driver's Electric Window Stopped Working
Thanks for your replies chaps. Today I got back to work to find that the driver's window had apparently wound itself down whilst the car had been parked up for the day. The button on the inside wouldn't wind it up so I used the 'deadlock' facility on the remote. The window wound up ok but as soon as...

Driver's Electric Window Stopped Working
Hello all Yet another problem with my Megane. Driving home from work the other day, the driver's window started doing a little dance. It jerkily wound down about six inches then up, then down. I pressed the button to return it to the 'closed' position and it immediately wound itself down again. Even...

Re: Toxic Fumes Warning Light
My garage tell me that the part is about £40 and it takes less than a minute to remove the old one and pop the new one in.
My car's been fine since the garage cancelled the service lights - there was a slight noise on acceleration when cold but that seems to have cleared now.

Re: Toxic Fumes Warning Light
Thanks for that! The garage have reset my warning lights and said that they may, or may not, come back on. If not, then happy days but if they do then a replacement sensor is needed. Thanks for your help.

Re: Toxic Fumes Warning Light
My garage has just told me that it's the camshaft position sensor. Is that the same as the TDC sensor?

Re: Toxic Fumes Warning Light
Well, my Megane's joined the party. It's a 2003 1.6 VVTi, and the lights came on yesterday. The car drove perfectly though, with no roughness or stalling. Is it an early warning sign, or could it be something else?

2003 1.6 VVTi - Exhaust Gas Monitor
Morning all, The exhaust gas monitor light, in tandem with the service light, came on while I was tootling along yesterday. Performance wasn't affected in anyway and I got home fine and dandy. The car's booked into my local independent Renault specialist tomorrow but I thought that, in the spirit of...

Automatic Wipers
Hello all, Apologies if this has been done before. I've done a quick search and can't find a definitve answer. I have a 2003 1.6 vvt Expression with autotmatic wipers and they really are a nuisance. Is there any way that I can turn them off and revert to intermittent wipers? Sorry if I've duplicated...

Timing belt & clutch - how much?
Evening all, Was just wondering how much I can expect to have to pay to get the timing belt (and associated gubbins) and clutch done on my Megane? It's the 1.6 16v VVT engine. The previous servicing garage say that they have never replaced the timing belt and the car has now covered 52k, and is over...

Howdo!
Evening all! Just thought I'd say hello. My name's Rob and I'm from Southport, a very nice and currently very sunny seaside town on Merseyside in the North West of England. I'm 35, and while I'm deciding what to do when I grow up, I work as a coach driver. I'm engaged to Sue and we have four childre...
