Just crawled under for a look...right enough theres a pin hole in the weld in the mid box and a small leak on the rear box both on the lowest part..i'm guessin its as a result of water sitting there...would these leaks affect the reading ?i thought as they were after the cat and sensor it would'nt.....

Leaky exhaust....

Car (03 1.4 Megane) failed its test today..the guy showed me the report and said that the meganes have problems with leaking around the welds...anyone had/heard of this before...????

Came out one morning to find the glove box open.. :eek ...no sign of break in ..phew..Wonder does this happen a lot ,it just broke overnight.. :? same thing with the spring and bits of plastic rattling around...I left the handle on so it closes "manually"...doubt if theres an easy fix, as ...

Spring compressors............you'll need them for the front..maybe borrow/rent a set..

Springs wer'nt a problem as far as i remember ,though i've just done the timingbelt ,w/pump and head gasket, so i dont get put off easily.. :D , just get yourself a set of compressors and get stuck in..if i had the money i'd change the shocks too... :?

Im a tight git :-P so budget tyres for me too...theyre Nangkang NS2 , i got the package on ebay, been a year now so i havent been looking at wheels..take your time and choose wisely my friend...nothing worse than picking the wrong wheels.. :cool:

Thanx Alex but i couldnt find the info so i bought a Hayes manual..all sorted and running sweet now..so if anyone needs a dig out on changing any of the above.just ask...and save yourself a few bob.. :cool:

YEP..45MM drop, 18"x8 rims ,no spacers reqd....i think they're 35mm offset..seems to be the norm these days..
Have to say its a lot firmer now, handles great but can be a wee bit rough on crapola roads.. ;)

1.4 16v heat bolts.........

Anyone know the torque settings for the bolts and sequence...just putting head back on after fitting new belt/ water pump ,head gasket etc...
