I saw this on their website a month or so back and made some enquiries... My local dealership quoted around £80 for the box itself, then around £70 to install it. "Sod that" I said! LOL.

On the passenger's side door handle there is a small plastic cover. Use the key to prise this cover up and that will reveal the lock. Open the car with the key and then pop the bonnet... Easy. :)

No I don't have handsfree entry, but would the antenna be in the floor of the boot? Surely it would make more sense for it to be in the roof? Then again... it is a Renault! lol.

What is this random wire?

Ok, so maybe not a 'problem' as such, but I was cleaning my car today, so extensively that I took the carpet up in the boot and found a strange wire... http://www.angusinafrica.co.uk/tomphotos/wire1.jpg I've no idea what it is for, do you know? Its just two wires with a small connector... http://www...

I had a similar problem a while back and I thought for ages that it was something to do with the stearing column but in the end it was a shock absorber... £180 job. Get somebody to dry steer the front wheels while u look in the arches at the suspension springs. If they seem to suddenly 'slip' ...

Yeah its very shaky in 1st gear, and lumpy in 2nd, but beyond that its fine. I've heard before that the TDC sensor can get dirty and a simple clean helps it a lot, but I haven't got a clue where to start with that!

Can anybody help?

Tom.

TDC sensor

Hi all! I've recently been having problems with loss of power and sometimes lumpy starts in the mornings with my Meggie. I had my dephaser pulley replaced a couple of months back, and I kinda suspect my TDC needs cleaning or replacing. Problem is, I havent got a clue how to go about cleaining it. Co...

I've had my 1.6 VVT for around 5 weeks now and it currently reads 35.9 MPG average. I've prob done the same number of miles on motorways as I have on minor town roads.
