Engine dying!!!

Mine does exactly the same, :-( i even showed the mechanic and got him in the drivers seat to experience the fault himself, i then left them the car, which they kept for a week because after pulling it in to work on, the fault has stopped. :evil: And because the fault doesn't show up on any diagnost...

Helen it sounds like mine has the same problem, its in the garage now. Mine starts ok most times but on the odd occasion i would push the button and it would just refuse to fire, i'd lift off the clutch and try again and it would fire up straight away and idle then cut out. Yes is the answer to both according to my local dealer... I recently had my dephaser replaced, and it was 10k miles short from my cambelt change so asked... And they said there was a mandate from renault instructs them to change cambelt when and if dephaser is changed... Mine was in again yesterday ...

I took extended warranty out on my Meg. Went through Lookers, and took out their warranty and not the Renault one which was far to expensive. Lookers use a company called Lumley i think. Anyway i took out an extra 3 years for around £550, and that cover everything your original warranty did. F...

Grinding noise

"UPDATE".. Just got the car back, and they have replaced the dephaser pulley, which works out great for me as the cambelt was coming up to its 5 yr change so got that done for free too....People can slag off the megane but Lookers of Colchester have never let me down :lol:
