Radio "error" on display
After disconnecting and reconnecting the battery (to try and rest a stuck rear quarter window) I mistakenly put in the wrong code for the radio ONCE and I now have the dreaded ERROR word on the display instead of CODE. Is there an easy way to clear this to bring back the word CODE to let me input it...

Re: 2005 2.0 automatic gearbox problem
PS.
Forgot to mention that in the build up to this, the car was not changing up the gears as it should.
As a result, revs where high as was fuel useage obviosly.

2005 2.0 automatic gearbox problem
I have had it for 6 months and worked fine, apart from a few minor issues. Over the last few weeks, shortly after driving it, there is a clunking noise and the "check gearbox" and "service" lights come on. Engine has to be stopped and restarted to carry on driving. Is this a gear...

Re: Radio not working
Unbelievably, this turned out to be the case.
Disconnected it, left it for an hour and reconnected.
After putting in the code, away we went.
Cheers.

Radio not working
Hi Guys, The on/off button is lit up - as is the display built into the dashboard (just the background, not the letters or numbers). I have checked the fuse in the glove box for the radio and also for the cigarette lighter and both are fine. As is the miniature glass fuse behind the head unit when y...

Location of headlight fuse ?
Anybody know ?
I cannot find it in the handbook and as both my headlights are out, I suspect the fuse.

Leaking roof ?
I think I may have a slight leak ( half a dozen drops or so) in the roof seal/ top of the window.
Is this normal with a very large volume of rain over a 5-7 day period ?
Is it easy to repair and totally seal it ?

New Battery spec ?
I have an Automatic 2.0 CC 136bhp 2005 model but want to change the battery. Would a battery with this spec be the best or should I use another ? Noisy air con ?
The blower fan when on at 1,2,3, or 4 works fine and is silent but when I press the air con button, it makes a whining noise and the noise disappears again when the air con is turned off - even with the blower on at 3.
This obviously rules out the fan rubbing or catching.
Any ideas ?

Oh yes, the fuel cap/cover is broken as well !!
One other thing guys - One of the locking "lugs" on the fuel cap is broken. To change the unit, do I simply remove the 2 screws that are clearly visable or are there any other connectors attatched ? How do I get the flap itself off the plastic hosing also ? Sorry for so many questions so s...

Hi Guys, New to this forum after buying my wifee a 2.0 cc. Everything seems fine except for a couple of things; 1) The drivers door is slightly out of alignment - whats the best way to adjust it a couple of millimeters ? 2) Every time the car moves, it locks the doors automatically - how do I deaciv...
