Re: Megane II Tow bar

Greetings once more! Wiring now done... Well, done the next day but been busy! Sorting the right ones is a bit of a nightmare. Didn't even match up to my Haynes Manual diagram! But, yes, sorted.. I had to splice a section of wire in too... So much for "just fit and off you go"... Never qui...

Re: Megane II Tow bar

Thank you Mr Lowe, much appreciated! Done the tow bar this afternoon. Not as horrendous as I thought it might have been! Thanks for the wiring tip too about the colours.. Did you scotch yours BEFORE they went through the body grommet into the rear clusters? Can you connect on just one side of the ca...

Megane II Tow bar

Hi peeps.
Has anyone in here fitted their own tow bar to a Megane II 06 plate facelift model? Just bought one with instructions. Looks FAIRLY simple.. Just a bit time consuming really. Also, after some tips on where/best way to wire the single electrics?

Thanks...

Re: Yet another old chestnut, sorry!

Cheers guys.
I know about driving habits, etc. If you're up and down motorways all day, it'll last ages, oposite doing town driving. Dave, I know when I clutch is about to go (well, hope so anyway!!!) was just wondering what others were achieving.

Thank anyway y'all...

Yet another old chestnut, sorry!

Hi guys and girls. Can I ask you how long or how many miles your clutches are lasting please? I have a 1.5dci 06 plate 86ps. We bought it over three years ago with 82,300 miles on it. Full service history. I haven't seen in there whether it's had a clutch in it's life yet. We're now showing nearly 1...

Re: Brake fluid leaking from hydraulic clutch cable

Alex B,
Good question! I THINK (though could be wrong) that somehow the resovoir is split internally because I still had brakes! Good point though... No lights on my dash when it happened!

Re: Brake fluid leaking from hydraulic clutch cable

I had the same thing happen. But I didn't find out mine was leaking until I had no clutch! Found a second hand one from a 10 plate car. Came on a pipe. Took it off the pipe, fitted to my car. Bled system (WHICH IS A SH1T TO DO!!), job done! Just make sure that when you fit the new one, make doubly s...

Re: MEGANE HEADLAMP BULB CLIP MISSING!

Hi there. Be careful.. I thought the same thing when Halfrauds fitted a bulb for me. They never fitted it correctly so I tried to sort it out myself. I went back to Halfrauds ranting and raving, blah blah... Turns out they are just a push fit! They do only go in properly in one position, and it's ju...

Re: Old chestnut, AIR CON

Very good of you mate.. Where can I pay you? Paypal? Give me your details and how much please...
No clutch engaging. Whenever it comes back from the garage, it always works. After a VERY short time afterwards, it stops again.. Bloody annoying...
Thank you...

Re: Air con not working, no errors

Er, hello!! Check out my old posts and more recent too! I've had a switch, re-gas, etc etc... Am about to have another switch and maybe second hand compressor... Can't afford a new one!!! :banghead By the way... The "ideal" way to change the switch is to remove the front bumper, apparently...

Re: Old chestnut, AIR CON

Cheers for that Dean. I was thinking about that myself, AND another switch... I could probably do the switch myself, but if I'm going to have the compressor changed...!!! Looking at one on Ebay now as it happens...
Thanks again... Will keep you all posted...
Cheers..

1.5dci 06 wiring diagram

Hi People.

Anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram for my car? Needs to be quite a comprehensive one, showing Air-con wiring too.

Cheers..

Re: Old chestnut, AIR CON

Hi Dave. Cheers for the reply. As it stands at the moment, I have had it gassed and refrigerant measured and weighed to precisely what it should be. Came away from the garage working. An hour later, maybe not even that, wife went out to car, now NOT working! This sensor you mention, is that the pres...
