Re: megane 2 fast idle
Just to add a reply, I had the exact same problem and it was the throttle body that needed cleaning. I know you have said it is clean but have you actually cleaned it as mine looked okay but had a thin film of grease on it which I wiped off. It made all the difference and that 2 minute job has chang...

Strange window fault
The newest fault for this wonderful piece of reliable engineering is the window. When I lower the window it goes down a couple of inches and then stops. I re press the button and it goes down a further couple of inches and so on. It's the same process for raising it again. The rear windows are the s...

It's a 1.6 vvti, the one where everything goes wrong and there are common faults on pretty much every part of the car.

Re: Toxic fume AND service light
I've had this sorted now. It was simply a cam sensor which needed replacing. It was quite a cheap fix.

Toxic fume AND service light
I've read loads and loads about the toxic fume light flashing on these cars. On my one the light is constant and also the service light has come on (it doesn't need a service yet). The car is driving fine as well so I'm a bit confused. Any ideas?

Re: 225 bumpers
You will find a link somewhere for the headlights. They are app. £80 each. Do a search in the mods section. And as above, the wings do not need changing, god only knows why the fella above had to.

Those wheels aren't made any more. Good luck in finding some that fit the Megane, especially if you want 19" like those. They do pop up on Ebay, but not very often

Re: megane supercharger help!
As above, the car will literally fall to pieces and the cost of this will be £4-5k and that's if the parts are off the shelf which I doubt very much. You will need to fabricate fittings, manifolds, brackets etc. etc. Cost could run way way above the cost of a 225 and you will end up with about 150-1...

Re: 1.6 vvt Re-map
anybody done this? Im considering doing it but want to know how much better it will be? and also what the bad points are? for example more wear on parts, I persume there must be a downside or else all cars would already have it! Search through the mods section and you will see a thread on this whic...

It wasn't the one in Hucclecote was it? Mine was in there a few weeks ago and I had a feeling of dodgyness if you know what I mean. Anyway I hope you get it sorted soon.
