Re: Modification of cc
It's the aerodynamics that make the difference, the lowering is just part of it..

Re: re-map on a 1.6 16v vvt?
Hi mate, on your 1.6 you would gain 8nhp/17nm torque, we have remapped a few of these and it does make a difference. more responsive and pulls a lot harder through the gears...

Re: 1.9dci remapping
Hi mate,
we remap these to 150bhp, whoever does your remap make sure it isn't an agressive map as it will kill your clutch.
You should have a smooth delivery of power from tickover to flat out with no big "kick" from turbo.. hope that helps you...

Re: dci remap?
Hi mate, Yes the boost is raised due to fact that fuel pressure/timing is altered, so yes it ismainly fuel demand. There should be no need to touch the egr if mapped correctly. we now sell a tuning box that is designed and made in UK, but normally only sold to be used on vehicles that have a hybrid ...

Re: dci remap?
Hi mate,
When a manufacturer has different power outputs on same engine, it's usually turbo/injectors/software, they don't just alter map..

Re: dci remap?
No prob mate.. :) I understand perfectly what your saying.. We have never had a prob with any remapped vehicle due to extra "heat". The only time I would think a prob would occur is down to people not changing/checking antifreeze regular, it's usually lack of maintenance when issues arise....

Re: dci remap?
The std water pump/radiator etc is more than capable of the extra bhp/torque as it only gets approx 1degree hotter. All diesel engines are basically detuned from factory for each environment they will be in so can cope with no probs whatsoever with a remap..

Re: dci remap?
Every diesel engine that is remapped will produce up to 40% more torque, and you prob know that most of the torque is in the lower rpm range and tails off when reaching max rpm. But will outperform the std torque everywhere in the rev range. and how often will you be sat at 2100 rpm? at this point y...

Re: dci remap?
Hiya mate,
A remap on any car will put a bit more pressure on it.. It's how the mapping is done that makes most of the difference, we map it so there is no sudden boost of power, just nice and smooth making it a lot nicer to drive...
