The 1.4 seems to return poor figures in real world driving, I think because the Megane is a heavy car and the 1.4 is low on torque and so has to be worked quite hard.

Same car as mine, although mines a 56 plate so I have got auto lights & wipers and you have got cruise control.

The standard unit is pretty good, there is a good range of adjustment available with the bass, treble and loudness controls so it's easy to get the sort of sound you want.

I got 3 quotes from different renault dealers for my 1st service, cheapest was £157, most expensive £230, so it pays to shop around.

If I floor mine at 2000rpm in 2nd it pulls strongly with no lag so I would say your car has some sort of issue.

Any of the diesels will be an hugely improved driving experience over the 1.4 petrol. I drove a 1.5 80hp diesel Scenic for a year and is was surprisingly ok, so the 1.5 106hp will be fine.
