Re: idependent dealer in Sussex

Post is very old but if anyone is still looking, when I used to live in Sussex a couple of years ago I used these guys in Worthing, West Sussex: https://www.swiftmotors.co.uk/station-road.html Renault specialists, been around for years and seemed to know their onions. I never felt ripped off by them...

Rear Spoiler needed - Renault Megane Estate

Hi all, The rear boot spoiler fell off my Megane Estate last weekend! On the motorway so no chance of recovery. :( I'm after a replacement that is original or as close as possible to the original look. Not a big wing! Also need the fittings plus high level brake light (LED). Renault Mégane Sport Tou...

Re: MP3 connection to update list for less then a tenner*upd

I finally got two minutes to drag my update list stereo out over the holidays and check if an AUX connection would work with the 6 CD changer left in place. Seems like good news for those of us with the 6 CD changer :-) See the attached photos: http://www.randomtoast.co.uk/files/2010-08-30_101548.j...

sure you can change language and units but using renault can clip software.

How easy is that?

I'm guessing - not easy!

Re: High Level Brake Light ( LED )

Tested mine tonight. 100% confirmed as LED's! Fault was the led unit, not the wiring. Took the led unit apart, kind of prised it off, but ending up cracking the red lens, due to glue where window washer pipe pokes through. Found the issue... Water ingress... What a surprise for a renault! Had come i...

Re: High Level Brake Light ( LED )

Then show me the partnumber, as in mainland Europe this doesn't exist. Mine is marked with the following: Valeo ref 89029571 Renault ref 820017553 (avec joint) 8200458462 (sans joint) Also number 89038480 is stamped on the other side. Not solved the problem yet, but hoping to have some time this we...

Re: High Level Brake Light ( LED )

cheers mate, managed to remove the unit. Tested the unit using a 12 v adapter and worked fine, all Diodes lit up nice and bright, looks like the connections in the connector. Am I right in assuming that the ground should be ok as the other lights that share the same ground are fine? Thanks for the ...

Re: High Level Brake Light ( LED )

The whole lot has gone. I'm hoping it's just a dodgy connector, but....

Water ingress on a Renault. Surely not? ;)

Re: High Level Brake Light ( LED )

I guess forever was a bit strong ! :-) Maybe more like 25x longer than Incandescent Lamps. So around 25,000 hours. I don't think the car can have braked that much in 5 years, even on the M25... High Level Brake Light ( LED )

Hi all, The High Level Brake Light LED unit seems to have packed up on my 2005 Renault Mégane Sport Tourer Privilège 1.9 dCi 120 Anyone had this issue before? I'm going to check the connections first, but I think you have to take the top plastic 'spoiler' off first. I thought LED's were supposed to ...

Re: MP3 connection to update list for less then a tenner*updated

Forgive me if I misunderstand, but can I do this AND leave the 6 CD changer in place? I have the Update List Stereo. I'm not 100% on how the CD changer connects to it (and haven't taken the radio out yet). Do you still have access to the AUX pins? I'm guessing yes otherwise you wouldn't have the opt...
