hi,i think one of my rear wheel bearings as failed as there is a loud whirring noise,my question is is it dangerous for me to keep using the car as i keep thinking the wheels going to drop off,i am seriously thinking of trading it in in a few weeks so dont want to spend if i can help it.

sorry mate should of mentioned it makes the same sound getting in and out of the car sounds like one of those old fashioned pushchairs,brakes and discs were replaced february,thanks for your input.

hi all my megane 2 1.6 as developed a squeak from the rear unsure whether its bushes ,shocks or springs ,you can also hear it when your braking coming to a stand still really becoming annoying ,cars done 58k anyone else had these problems and cured them.

take it back to the garage it sounds like it hasnt been set up correctly did they mention a software upgrade after fitting the dephaser pulley as tthe dephaser pulleys have been moddified ,good luck

dazza andywills is right about changing the dephaser pulley to the newer moddified type if your having a cambelt change, as i have known people who have had to have the dephaser done after replacing the cambelt, ouch start all over again, honest garages will mention about the dephaser to be replaced...

it sounds like clutch got really hot and expanded only guessing though ,after cooling down may of helped.

the light on mine usually comes on at around 40 miles left in the tank but shows --- this is normal i was told ,so all i do now is when light comes on i drive 30 mile with light on then fill up.

hi press the accelerater pedal with your hand when the car is switched off and see if something is catching the brake pedal ,usually it is car mats that get in the way.
