It's an Expression VVT Hatchback.

Just tried to start it again and it won't even turn over and the battery light is on the dash so I'm presuming the batteries flat. Would this be the main reason for what happened yesterday with it cutting out?

It was right up to the top of the dipstick, probably an inch above the max line.

Might not be brain surgery to you but to me it is!! It might not need resetting, it might have a problem?? Am I wrong?

Thanks for the responses :) I did check the oil yesterday after I posted and am even more confused. I wasn't sure whether to check the oil on a warm or cold engine, so from lots of different google searches I summised that if you check on a cold engine the oil level will be lower than on a warm one?...
