Re: Injection fault on my 1.9DCI

Received some bad news this morning regarding the on going problem with my car as stated in my first post. It's not the Crank Shaft sensor as originally first thought. Turns out that the high pressure fuel pump has failed :-(

Not a good start of the new year!

Re: Injection fault on my 1.9DCI

One quick question: What is the best method of gaining access to the Crankshaft sensor - by under the car or with what I mentioned above by removing the battery & tray stated by Haynes.

Thank you

Re: Injection fault on my 1.9DCI

Thank you for your reply Davelowe  Yes, this sensor has given me much grief - especially on New Year's day. What a great start!! However, with owning the car for the past four years, this is the first time that my car has died on me, so I can't really complain. Wear and tear I suppose li...

Re: Washer Jets

When did you last use the pump? It could be that you damaged the pump in the recent cold weather - now it is blown the fuse will keep melting. Thanks for your feedback Negotiator. The last time I used the pump was yesterday morning, only then realised that I ran out of screenwash which could lead t...

I got the same problem and with changing the fuse and trying out the sreenwasher again, it still keeps blowing fuses.

See my post detailing my problem.

Re: Washer Jets

OK.... After searching through this forum, I came across this https://www.meganeownersclub.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12077 which suggest checking the 15A fuse which I did and discovered it's blown. So I replaced this and tried my Screen washers again but still no joy, again with another bl...

Re: Washer Jets

Only just discovered this morning that my Screen washers aren't working, both front and back. Topped up with screen wash yesterday as I commute to work using the M1 everyday and we all know that this time of year our roads are gritted so our windscreen always get covered with salt spray. Checked the...

Re: Wheel wobble when braking

I have a 53REG Megane 1.9DCI. Great car with no major problems so far (touch wood :? ) However, I am experiencing a wobble problem when I'm braking, specially from high speed. It's quite bad as wobbles through to the steering wheel and my door mirrors shake aswell. Doesn't happen at low speed and wh...

Re: Changing the Sidelight Bulb...

Well....the good news,I succeeded replacing the Side light Bulbs. But it was NOT easy, specially the nearside.
The bad news, I lost one plastic clip that holds the bulb holder in place. Is there anywhere I can get a replacement or otherwise, I just use blu-tack. :-(

Re: Changing the Sidelight Bulb...

Thanks again. Will have another go in the morning as it's getting dark now. Will attempt to remove wheel arch cover but leave wheel on as my driveway is sloped downwards, so I can't really use the jack.

Will let you know if I succeeded :?

Re: Changing the Sidelight Bulb...

Thanks for quick reply Steve.

Are you referring to clip that holds the headlight bulb? And, have you done this before as I've open the bonnet and took the plastic cover off so I can see from above and the cover under the wheel arch. What is the best method to replace the side light bulb anyway?

Anyway, does anyone here know the best way to change the bulb without shredding my arms. it's on the nearside, and I have changed the headlight bulbs before with no problems by accessing it under the wheelarch, but the sidelight is a d...
