Re: EGR Blanking
I've done this, actually made a huge difference. Been done for about 10,000 miles. Installed a new turbo and decatted at the same time, car is far more free revving and endless power throughout the range. I left the EGR in and had the pipe between the manifolds removed and welded up. I think it was ...

Re: remap dci 1.9
Its not been overly great because of a few other issues I've had with the engine, but it was much higher than before.
Also will pull from 1500 to 4500 rpm.
It does make it so much better, just need to find out why my car wobbles when i accelerate!!!

Re: remap dci 1.9
I had one of those fitted for some time also, i was very impressed too. However i did go for a full remap in the end, and its an even further improvement. Clutch used to slip with the box but never with the remap, unless you have a car full and slow runs up hills. (Multi-storey car parks with passen...

Re: Decat after Remap
Can that cause excessive wobbles? Hmm might look into that after christmas.
Was looking at a ceramic clutch next year anyway. Hmmmm.

Re: Decat after Remap
Mines more of the higher revs, 2500-3000, but still noticeable slightly in the lower range. I thought driveshaft but they're both brand new. They look fairly fine too. I'll look into the gearbox thing though. You could be onto something, especially if its a little bit loose somewhere. Cheers anyway ...

Re: Decat after Remap
Hmmm, i'll look into the mot regulations then! However, i have since solved my issue, i put a new cat on! haha it works perfectly again. Decat pipe is for sale for anyone if they're up for remapping after. Anyone know anything on shaking under acceleration? Fine when cruising, just when accelerating...

Decat after Remap
Got my cat hollowed out after some deliberation, turbo had gone and i had the egr return pipes welded up on the manifolds. However, now i have massive turbo lag. OBD is throwing up codes for fun at the moment. MAF, Fuel rail pressure, Fuel temp... etc. Pretty sure i've got rid of too much back press...

Re: DCi 120 big brake discs
Not that i'm aware, but why do you want bigger discs? That means bigger calipers, bigger pads and more expense when they need changing.
Black Diamond discs and EBC redstuff pads... Cant go wrong!

Re: brembo`s
Ooo, sorry i assume most people on this forum have the standard. In which case i advise meganesport.net, they'll most likely have more of an idea. KTEC will be able to advise you on some aspects as they have a few meganes running over 400BHP. However, i still advise you concentrate your efforts of t...

Re: brembo`s
Buy the 225 rear suspension, brakes and wheels, in fact i believe you'll have to change the lot. Not required unless you've uprated the power ridiculously. You'd probably have to upgrade the brake servo and cylinder too. I'd forget about the brembo's, upgrade your discs and pads to EBC or similar, d...

Re: 1.9 Dci Wont Start - After injector removal SOLVED
Hello, i can safely say problem solved! Injectors were the problem, i replaced the two that i had been suspicious of and the smoke has gone! I still think the cat has issues as the car feels like its boosting, but less than it should, and with the amount of smoke coming out, i wouldnt be surprised i...

Re: My car audio..
Yeah had a read through most of your posts on it, looks fairly simple.
Might give it a whirl in a few weeks and see what i can do.
Got other issues with the car so this can wait haha.

Re: 1.9 Dci Wont Start - After injector removal
Haha, no improvements would ever be made if we all left things alone! Only took them off because the car had been idling rough, however this turned out to be the intake manifold and valves coked up. Checked all injector pipes and they were clear and kept their seal well, so i dont think thats the is...

Re: 1.9 Dci Wont Start - After injector removal
Cheers dude, took the head off this morning. Gasket had gone, split the layers and allowed oil and coolant to mix. Explains the smoke i suppose!
Picking up a new gasket set tomorrow and rebuilding. Will get the head checked in the morning, though it looks good to me.
Thanks for your help so far
