mine has done this since i have owned it. it's ok when it warms up. apparently this is quite common.

wipers must be activated each time you switch on ignition. if you leave them in auto position they will not work until you push stalk to top position then move it to the next setting.

had my driver door regulator replaced at a cost of £345
i have a tesco warranty but they would not cover it because the problem is caused by water ingress. despite trying to reason with them they would not give in

had a similar problem with the driver window on my 04 megane. went to dealer who quoted £300+ to fix. read your remarks and hey presto! its working again. thanks for the very useful info. Hy and welcome, first its not a safety feature as such probably find that the cars battery has been disconnected...
