Hi Alex,
Yes it was the tappets and that as broken the top part of the engine becuase my husband as tried to drive it! so ive been told new engine will be cheaper and easier. what a pain!!!

Megane 1.9 DCI (TAPPIN) 04plate
I've recently changed oil, glow plugs filters etc, still my car sounds like a tractor ive been told it could be one of the hydraulic tappets that is sticking and could cost a bomb to get repaired! its coming from the drivers side and sounds terrible.
Can anyone give nay advise?????
