right... been back out and cleaned my bowl and drained the oil out into it..also unscrewed the oil filter and also took the filling cap off for good measure and left it to drain put filter back on and plug in got a 1ltr measuring jug and what went back in was exactly 4.5 ltrs and non was left in the...

well...did a cervix on it today , undid the sump plug and let it flow out while I changed the air filter. looked undernesth and no more drips so put the sump plug back in thinking it was drained.struggled with the oil filter but managed to get that out and a new one in...poured in 4.5 litres of oil ...

I have a 1.9 dci and recently bought a 1.5 dci and both cars the heater only works on 1,2 and 3 only .
i would have thought 4 would be straight through with no resistor , could be the switch though ..but odd

hi all...I bought a grand scenic with a 1.5 dci engine and the oil level low warning comes on when you start the engine.ive disconnected the wire to it and bridged the connection and it goes off and the service light goes out too..happy days :-) i tried to clean the sensor to no avail so then went o...

the worst part is ,no matter how far you strip the sleeves back the wire is too corroded to solder

thanks guys..yeah I used the right sockets but I think they were too perished. I ended up dropping down to a 12 mm socket and a lot of swearing but managed it eventually :x that's a good tip about going into the workshop :wink: ive still to get some as the mot runs out on Saturday thanks for the lin...

rear caliper to hub bolts
its a megane estate 53 plate with the 270mm discs on the back. its failed the mot on the rear discs so ive ordered new ones but upon removing the calipers from the hubs the bolts that go into the hubs were like chocolate. where can I buy them from ? sorry if its in the wrong place or been asked a mi...

that was on the corsa..and it never used a drop of oil between services...well maybe a drop but nothing you would need to top up on..but it had done 150,000 and the inside of that pipe had probably never seen the light of day till then

hi again, i had the utter misfortune today of removing / cleaning and replacing a corsa c 1.3 cdti starter motor.it was a pig of a job to get to a bolt and i had to remove the main breather(i thing thats what it was) up to the intake.anyhows when i took it off it was blocked up with dried out harden...

its an odd one aint it...it does just seem to be sub 10c it all starts to throw a wobbly.never mind,its a bit warmer now
