Re: clunking from the rear

Have a look for your rear exhaust mount. If the rubber has perished and its only hanging on by the safety thread then you'll get a knock like you describe.

Re: Suspension Arm replacement

Biggest part will be labour - the whole of the front of the car has to be undone and eased forward to fit these.

Probably two and a half hours labour on top of the part. You'll need to get it tracked as well.

I doubt you'd have much left from 200.

Re: Fuel gauge

Did you get to the bottom of this?

Ive had a similar problem(also on a dynamique), the gauge goes past full when full but will not go below 3/4 tank.

Ive fitted a different in tank unit but same result.

Re: wiper arms

I took mine off last week to do my strut bearings. You do just need to give them some WD40 and wiggling them, all is it is a bit of rubber around the thread of a bolt. If you work them up and down they'll start to move in very small amounts. Don't forget to mark them before removal so you get them b...

Re: Electric Window Problem

Hello John, That noise is a familiar one as I've heard it twice, once on either side just before the window regulator stopped working. I got the first done under warranty but the second it still awaiting repair. The clicking probably isn't in the switch, its more likely a sign of water ingress to th...

Re: 05 megane dci 120 feels like its going to stall whilst driv

I've experienced this too and there isnt much more to say about it by way of a description. Its like youre in too high a gear for the speed/revs your doing but by the time youve looked down to check things the problem has gone. Mine hasnt done it for a couple of weeks or so, so I havent investigated...

Re: Scraping noise when turning steering

I did both of mine a couple of weeks ago. You can get the bearings for about £15 a side from ebay, I've seen ~£145 a side from a dealer mentioned elsewhere. I didnt bother though, I found the bearings to be fine if a little dry so regreased and refitted. After putting up with the 'clunking' for a co...

Re: RAIN SENSOR - WIPERS

Evening all. This is a tad late but I've posted here because, like I have, others might surf in via google and it'd be nice to have something like a solution at the end of the thread. Basically I've found that you dont need to go for the whole new sensor at the dealer, which I've seen mentioned cost...

Its definately a DIY job. IIRC you unscrew the two 'things' holding the light cluster in place, ease the cluster away from its position and there is a panel on the back. At the base of the panel is a clip, push this down and the panel will come out allowing you to replace the bulbs on it. I probably...

Swap the pollen filter and run a can of Forte air conditioner treatment through the system. You should be able to pick both up of ebay for ~£20 - just done it myself and it cleared the stink.

Remember to use a genuine Renault Pollen filter if your motor is still under warranty.
