Re: Stickies for fuel consumption
I have now done 1400 miles in my meggy and have got 46 mpg (according to the computer) in that time. My commute to work is 15 miles each way and I crawl in traffic for about 3 miles of the journey. I have done 2 return trips of 130 miles and may have had a heavy right foot finding out what the car i...

Re: 1.9 Dci Clunky Gear selection
Mine is similar, 3rd 'feels' like a bad gear change, it has never refused and is definitely worse when a fast gear change is attempted.
If I change in a more relaxed fashion then it is fine.
It also seems to improve if the car is warm.

Re: Engine vibration around 1500 rpm DCI 1.9 130
UPDATE
Put it in to a garage yesterday, according to them it is the drivers side top engine mount causing the vibrations. They have ordered a new mount and it will go back in when it arrives. All being done under warranty
It will be interesting to see if that fixes it completely.

Re: Door Sensor
I had this with one of my cards and not the other, turned out to be that the battery in the card was on the way out, it still worked by pressing buttons but I guess the wireless operation requires more power.
Renault suggest that the batteries are changed every 2 years.

Re: Engine vibration around 1500 rpm DCI 1.9 130
Thanks for that Iain, I have to say part of that film made me feel quite sick though :? I have most noticed the vibration through the steering wheel. I was talking to a mechanic friend of mine about it and he has now had a look and we have found that the vibration is present and slightly worse when ...

Re: Engine vibration around 1500 rpm DCI 1.9 130
Thanks for the replies, everything is fine at idle and nothing is noticeable when accelerating it just seems to be when driving at constant speed @ 1500 rpm. This is my fifth diesel but I think the meggy is probably the smoothest that I have driven, the previous diesels were Seat Ibiza TDI, Golf GT ...

Engine vibration around 1500 rpm DCI 1.9 130
Hi All, Apologies if this has been covered before but I searched vibration on the forum and none of the vibration issues sounded exactly like mine. I have had the car 3 weeks and am very pleased with it, it is a DCI 1.9 130 Non-FAP on a 56 plate that has done 9000 miles. I bought it from a Renault r...

Re: demisting my megane
I have found that actually the opposite works well, i put it on recirculate with aircon on as this warms up faster whilst extracting the moisture it also seems to blow harder on recirculate. This used to work well in my clio as well.

Re: Just got my 1.9 DCI 130
Have had it a couple of weeks now and am very pleased with the car, a lot quicker and smoother than my clio. In general all my renaults have served me well the clio had done 72k and was getting a bit tired inside, although to be honest I tend to use and abuse cars. The only problem I had with the cl...

Re: Handsfree card issue
Hi thanks for the replies.
I managed to find a spare new battery and tried that and it worked.
I guess there was enough power for remote operation but not for wireless.

Handsfree card issue
Apologies if this has been asked/answered before, I picked up my car today and have been investigating the features of the car (playing with my new toy according to the wife!) and have found that only one of the cards seems to work in handfree mode. The second card does work fine as a remote. Is thi...

Just got my 1.9 DCI 130
Hi All, Just got back from picking up my new meg, I got a 56 plate 3 dr hatch 1.9 DCI that has 8660 on the clock. The car is a very dark blue, not sure what colour but I'm going to have to find out as it has already got chipped in Tescos car park :( Had to fill up straight after picking the car up (...
