What would you guys do on a Megane 2.0 CC 48000 4 year service interval?
Not sure whether to do it myself or send it to the dealers. Only for the stamp in the service book but not bothered as I keep receipts for bits bought etc.

Handbrake adjustment
I've posted several times about my handbrake woes The car failed its MOT because the caliper that was fitted was the incorrect type. That was Renaults fault for supplying the wrong one Now I've got the correct one "Hurray" and fitted it ok. It passed the MOT. The technician said that the c...

Handbrake adjustment
Fitted a new Rear Caliper to our Clio III which is exactly the same as our Meganes.
All ok and bled ok too, but the handbrake on the new caliper is not holding as much as the other side.
Is there individual adjustment for each cable?

Re: Opening roof while doing 20mph
Avoid speed humps!
I've got no choice where I live and if i'm honest - I've never had a roof leak for the entire time i've owned the vehicle.
Keep those seals clean and well lubricated and you should have very few problems. The car is stiffer than some cabs i've test driven!

Re: Rear brake caliper
Absolutely great!
Cheers for that. There's reference to a "Bleeding device" that fits to the reservoir. Is it possible to do it without? And do you know what size brake line spanner i'd need?

Rear brake caliper
We have a problem with the rear brake caliper on our Clio III. It looks exactly the same as the one on the back of the Megane so I thought i'd ask here if anyone has changed one and any advice and tips on how to do the job. Basically the handbrake element of the caliper has broke according to Renaul...

24/7 spares website.
Do not on any account order any spares from this company!! I ordered a rear caliper for a Clio, and thinking that as they are used parts it will be cheaper. £45 to be exact. It has cost me my sanity and £40 in personal rate calls to get hold of the barstewards. The part never came and after many cal...
Dab radio
With all the hype about DAB radio recently, I was wondering if it would be possible to remove the cd multichanger and fit a replacement head unit and connect it through the AUX of the single cd head unit above. As some come with usb and Ipod connectivity it would save buying the Renault ipod glovebo...

Re: Exterior temp sensor
Some lesser models don't have outside temp fitted.
Been in several hire car and courtesy car Meganes and Clio's without the temp sensor fitted.

Re: Air Conned
Well the air con is still working. No sign of a leak. Gave it a good run tonight with it on all the way and never felt so happy to feel the cold air. The compressors working a treat so at least its not that at fault as Kwik fit would have me believe. WIll get a UV light and check myself over the wee...

Re: Air Conned
Cheers guys. Yes will email head office and see what happens. Failing a response from that - a phone call. I worked at Kwik fit for several months on the old YTS scheme many years ago now. (Well, more like I was forced into it.) and the work practices to get the targets was quite unbelievable at the...
