Card Battery Fault
When I start my megane 1.5D and drive 100m's the digital display goes to "Change Key Card Battery"; I have changed the battery, and it still works from well over 40m's away...so how do I turn this message off ? It only started happening after a full service, they disconnected the battery s...

Re: Electric Window faults
"I am looking forward to my ultimate recourse next year and selling the car and never buying another Renault ever again!chevin" This is also my feeling, but I wish I'd been pre-warned before making this purchase, my first and last Renault. I would just like to let other people know so that...

Re: Stickies for fuel consumption
Posted my results a few weeks back, but recently had a full service and found my average has gone up slightly to approx. 63 mpg over each tankful. For the first half a tank I can get the average up to 65 mpg...but it becomes harder to get the average to rise during the second half of the tank. I rar...

Electric Window faults
I now have a passenger window that is only held up by a piece of wood inside the door frame. I have a 54 plate megane estate 1.5 Diesel; the window came down of it's own accord while it was at Tesco car park. On this forum I found the short term solution of removing the fuse, replacing, then using t...

Keycard battery
I recently had a service and they had to disconnect the battery. I have managed to re-programme my radio to get that working, but when I start up the dash electrics shows the message Key pad battery needs replacing, I have replaced the battery and I can "still" open it from 40 metres away ...

Re: The window is stuck and its pouring!
An easier option that you will find on this forum, is to remove the fuse, put it back in and double click the lock on keypad; this will raise the window by 3". then open car, remove and replace fuse for window and then double click the lock on keypad. Keep doing this until the window is closed,...

Re: Passenger window
Yes, I also have had the passenger door window fail on me, Renault have refused to cover it as it's got over 100k on the clock because it has never been officially re-called as a problem. Mean while mine is in the shop and another two cars are having it done under warranty !!!! I now ask every Mega...

Re: Stickies for fuel consumption
I have had my Megane Estate (54 plate) for 3 months now and after every fill-up I re-set the odometer and watch my MPG figure always. It has really helped to make me a slower driver. It has the 1.5 Diesel engine and between fuel stops on a motorway doing a steady 65 MPH average I have got up to 78 ...
