Re: Water in passenger foot storage well

Is the water in the footwell cubby hole? I should use Search for this as I know that both webcode and I have posted copious amounts of information on this and how to fix it!

The Michelin Energy E3A's seem to be getting quite rare now - I wanted to bring on the spare that came with the car and have a matching tyre on the other side so phoned around several suppliers for an E3A. I was told by many that they are discontinued and have been replaced by the the E3B. The only...

I had this problem and it was due to rust forming in the caliper mechanism. If this was going on for a while, you may need new rear disks in addition to new pads. I started with changing pads and cleaning disks, but two years later decided to replace the disks... My car is also 53 reg. (1.9dci Expr...

Surely Not Another Turbo?

No doubt Andy and Ray will say "I told you so!", but Mrs LGC's car has had the SERVICE/CHECK INJECTION lights come on at 71,685 miles. The car, as some of you may recall, had a new turbo, intercooler, turbo oil feed pipes and EGR valve fitted at 36,000 miles, just before the turbo totally ...

Ah one of the top ten perrenial Mégane ll problems. There is now an anti-squeak kit available from your dealer but you would do better to invest in a set of EBC's Green Stuff pads in the majorit of cases the squeak goes away and there is the added benefit of improved braking and less brake dust on t...

You should have a read of the piece on Kumho KH lls on the Products Tested section. These tyres should be considerably less expensive than the Mickies and prove just as durable and economic.

The water leak has nothing to do with the window malfunction. Whilst water ingress has dropped out of the top 5 Most Common Faults in Migraine lls, malfunctioning windows is on the up. Build quality is getting better but then all the owners of early cars have done such a wonderful unpaid development...

I aplogise - I got my facts wrong. Figures for the 1.6VVT and 120dCi would indicate a saving of 44 gallons per annum and a cost difference of around £2,000 on a 3dr Dynamique (now a 130). Performance difference is marginal. Meanwhile I would refer you to the original post on this topic. Please...

The point is that pottering about in a turbo diesel is asking for trouble! These engines are made for high mileages. Not getting a good regular work out will cause condensation in the engine oil which is one of the things guaranteed to drastically reduce the life of the turbo shaft bearings and resu...

You should never have bought a dCi if you do well below average mileage! It does not make sound economic sense and the engines need to be hammered day-in-day-out or they get gunged up!!

The AA man was probably saying that the turbo was sucking in oil (from the turbo oil feed seals).

BTW this thread is now way off track and your individual problems should either be in matching topics or new ones on this Forum!

I'm still alive having been on a house hunting trip in France - La Vendée! Not too many problems on the 1,200 mile trip. Passenger window dropped on way to Portsmouth last Sunday (heavy rain) but like any sensible Migraine owner I had my spares kit - 15cm length of wood and Swiss Army Knife -...

Misdiagnosis - the curse of the Renault network. The good thing is that if we had the same thing from our doctors, we wouldn't need to worry about our cars and their problems - just our funeral costs  !
