Emission Warning light

Hi
I had the wire to the rear oxygen sensor come of its retaining clip and drag along the road.The result was the wire wore through and the check engine light came on.
I had the wire repaired by an auto electrician, but they were not able to reset the check engine light.
Does anyone know how to do this manually, or do I have to pay Renault their usual fee.

did the auto electrician try to reset with a diagnostic reader or did he not have one , i use a elm 327 code reader that i bought of ebay to reset codes used with torque on my smart phone and tablet downloaded from google play
