Headlight upgrade

I have a 2014 1.5 facelift Megane which I've had for about 5 months & the headlights are quite frankly dangerous on country roads a night at 30mph let alone 60mph.
I normally replace the bulbs every couple of years for Phillips or similar but not sure that this will solve the problem.
The lenses are clear it just crap design.
Is there a particular upgrade that anyone has used as I'm sure I can't be the only one with this problem.
