Could be fuel filter or maybe glow plugs had the fault with mine and it turned out to be the fuel filter

Find yourself a good auto electrician for a diagnostic, if you don't know one ask friends, work colleagues etc, check Yell.com for your area and look at the good garage scheme.

what is the mileage of the car?

well, just to cut through, if the mileage is above 150000km go to a Renault main dealer and ask them to test your HP fuel pump. It seams that it started to go away and is not easy to test it without a dummy plug they have there (i wish i knew the schematic of that plug, you could to this test outside the dealer with it...), they connect it to the HP pump and then try to start the car. the car will not start but the pressure can be read on the CLIP software. The pressure must reach a certain value if its good, if not there you'll have your fault, HP pump wrecked. if this fault is confirmed they will try to sell you the pump, injectors, pipes, bla bla bla because of metal chips contamination (from the pump), they are right, it will be contaminated but its very expensive to do change everything. ive seen several wrecked pumps swapped and maintaining everything else and they work just fine, swap just the fuel filter.

good luck

Hi sorry for not replying sooner did renault do your fuel filter or just a normal garage. Only reason I ask was that I had a problem because the garage used a filter that's was not a renault one and when they changed to proper renault filter I had no more injection faults

Also do you get injection fault when you accelerate quickly? Also any garage should be able to test glow plugs there is a link on this website that shows you

Was the fuel filter replaced before the fault? It can be that dirt was introduced into the fuel line during the job, which caused the problem.
