Open the cubby hole above the handbrake, then un-clip the piece of trim that the levers go through - up and forward. Behind it are the adjustment nut and balancing bars.

Haynes says: unclip from calliper, detach from balancing bar, follow the outer cable from the calliper to the hole in the floor, disconnecting any clips or mounting brackets as you go. Remove from under car, replace... Sounds like a plan!

Ah - at the top of this forum there is a sticky for the workshop manual pdfs (straight from Renault). They do sometimes imply a certain amount of familiarity with the cars. But if you are sensible, you won't have any problems...

Did mine in the weekend... basically all you do is unhook it from the outside of the car.. get your fingers inside the back of the central cubby hole and loosen the balancing bar (13mm spanner) enough to disconnect the cable from the balancing bar yank the cable from the outside of the car (where it enters the car underneath).. (the cable inside the car is routed through a metal pipe from the outside of the car to the inside of the car so the cable will route itself in to the car. up to the point where you can connect it to the balancing bar).. i would connect it to the caliper first then the balancing bar and then tighten it up on the balancing bar inside the bar.
