Changing the bulb on the heater/air flow controls.

Postby Gooner89 » Fri Sep 24, 2010 9:40 am

Hi,
I purchased a 2007 Megane 2 recently and I drove it in the dark for the first time the other night (as the late nights are only just drawing in.) I noticed there are no lights/illuminations on the 3 heater/airflow knobs. Is this easy to fix? Ive trawled the message board without finding any help. Is it a quick job and are there any instructions anywhere? Any help is very appreciated.

Regards

A

Hi there,
Yep the start stop button and the light on the central locking is fine. Its just the three dials although the A/C and the small button next to it also should have a light I suspect. Any help would be great.

Cheers

I am having the exact same problem on my 03 Megane Hatch, no lights on the three heater control dials but all other dash lights seem to be working fine. I spoke to a renault specialist garage and he has told me that it is likely to be bulbs as there are only two that light that area. I havn't had a chance to try it yet, did you find a solution to yours?

the solution is to disassemble the center console. take out the radio, the plastic pocket (or cd storage, depending on the model), take out the cover of the ECU connection and keep on striping the center console until you take out the heating controls. Check and replace the lights as necessary. its a 2h work, counting with all the time you need to do it calmly and for the 1st time.

cheers
