Hi there,
Before I buy, could any of you tell me if the 86bhp is a good unit or should I focus on 106bhp. Generally short runs (school drop) and about 10,000miles/year.
I have found one with 84K, FSH, new clutch 2012, cambelt 2013,. This is on a 55 plate (Oasis) so first edition for £2200. Does anyone think the facelift model is much better?
All advice considered!!!.
1.5dci 86 or 106??

pretty sure they didn't do a 106 as I had a 55 plate 100 hp

And what did you think to it, Any problems??
Re: 1.5dci 86 or 106??
I paid £5000 for it 9 months old...
It got shaken and hammered up and down a 40 mile trip on country lanes for 5 years and provided one of the comfiest journeys in ironing out all the bumps and the Abs was a dream on corners..
The faults it developed were the window controllers, wet carpet and associated steamed windows, an abs sensor, aircon leak, the dreaded injection light, and the rear discs wore out and as I saw no value in the car having paid so little - it was only serviced once in 5 years...
Despite the hard life it had the dam thing passed a strict mot and I part exchanged it...
I owned a lotus elise and a 20vt at the time and preferring to use the Renault speaks volumes more than anything I could write about it and I obviously had no qualms about buying a 1.5 diesel cc !!
