Re: Card and Reader.
Like another poster, I found my keycard started working again following the replacement of the CAR battery. (My battery was over 5yrs old.)

Re: Keycard/Wireless Entry Not Working - Solution
Thanks! However, I read a post further up this thread where the poster had found that a newly replaced car battery did the trick. (Something to do with how the car and keycard interact, and what part of this needs power, and where the power comes from. I recently replaced my car battery (it was 5yrs...

Re: Door handle locking button
I'm trying the WD40 trick. When it was last in for a service, I raised the issue of my driver's side buttons not working (the sensors do for unlocking). I was told the buttons were sticking (not that I'd noticed...) The car came home with the buttons working. So, now they're not working again, I've ...

Bump!
My blower now only works on 1, 2, 3 settings - it stops on 4.
Any ideas where I start to repair this?

Re: Camshaft Dephaser
Last year my '53 plate had its 5yr cambelt change. At the same time I had the dephaser pulley sorted (part cost £116 inc VAT) AND the water pump changed - whilst it was all in bits. I also had the 'Gold' service (£185) + MOT and paid £800 all-in... Annoyingly, this year's 'Christmas Savings Fund' wa...

Re: Water ingress into rear door
Thanks very much for the replies. Skidms9 - that's reassuring what you say. This has been going on for probably well over a year now, just more noticeable since we moved to Wales (where the rain we get now makes the Indian sub-continent monsoons seem like April showers!). So saying, it's only on the...

Water ingress into rear door
Hi, After heavy rain (or a vigorous jet-washing!) I can open my n/s rear door and water streams out from under the seal that runs along the bottom of the door. If I pull this seal slightly to one side, there is a machined hole in the door, under the seal, from where this water streams out. My questi...

Re: Bearings replacement £334 and new keycard £199
Ha - I has asumed at that price it was for front and rear!
Yes, rear, and yes, to do with what you say.
Still can't help but think this quote is way on the high side...

Bearings replacement £334 and new keycard £199
Hi,
I'm based in Bridgend Area, S Wales, and have been quoted by the local Renault service centre I use £334 for bearings replacement and £199 for a new keycard.
Are these sensible costs, or can anyone recommend what I should be paying (and better still where else I could go locally)?
Many thanks.
