hi just wondering if any one knows if a throttle body off a 1.6 petrol will go on a 1.4 petrol as my mate has one for sale and i have a 1.4.

also does any one know if a 1.6 driveshaft will do on a 1.4 (i am pretty sure they will)

hi yes there is one boost pipe which comes from my vacum pump on the end of the cam shaft which goes to the boost solenoid that is mounted to the inlet manifold the pipe that comes out of my turbo waste gate comes to a t junction and on end also goes to the vacum resevoir and then comes out the vacu...

when mine enters limp mode it will not rev past 3000 RPM in any gear and also the tiniest touch of the accelerator pedal makes it rev up high like you have your foot to the floor.

for something to bring up so many faults like that it has to be something to do with the power to the car i.e battery, alternator maybe starter.

yes the engine would still run just the battery wouldn't get charged and this could be indicated by the battery light being on. also if the the alternator was blown the electric steering would not work

i am pretty sure you have got the battery on the wrong way round. also if you have you are probably going to need a new alternator. sounds like you have put a live up all the earths
