Re: Lost wheels nut socket got the cover off the tyre but now need the socket to remove wheel

could be a 19mm as well as i bought some s/hand as these bolts have a habit of breaking and these were 19mm. There are extendble wheel wrenchesfor sale that have both sizes on a reversible socket, had mine for years. Check B & M or home bargains, Halfords if you want to pay alot.

On both sides have had to resort to changing lower arms, first the bottem ball joint pinch bolt was seized in on both sides and the ball join...

handbrake woes

Hogmany and i arrived home and parked the Megane, pulled on the handbrake and the lever went slack and came right up. Great, handbrake cable gone ! Normally I'll order the parts without looking, as the cable is available singly I thought I'll check which side it is. Managed to remove the center cons...

where is the abs pump and ecu

was going to sell my 08 3dr dci megane but 500 was best offer, as ABS light is on. Machine says no signal from both front wheels, has a speedo signal so am thinking ecu and pump for ABS. Seen these on ebay for as little as £15, if I can get an exact match I understand it will not need coding, does n...

Re: time to let it go

yeah, thats one that was mentioned along with wiring fault, ecu fault. Odd thing is the speedo works fine so that means there is a signal from the bearing and sensor. Problem is we dont need the car and I just spent £25 on a sensor for nsf, wheni told the wife it didnt work shes drawn the line and s...

Re: abs warning light

Re: abs warning light

Speedo still working, I'd thought that as well that if there was no speed reading from either side where was the speedo getting its info from. Thats part of the reason I had a machine put on it as did not want to be fitting parts and still no further forward. Might be time to get rid as aspares or r...

Re: abs warning light

changed the sensor and took it for a test, within 100 yds the light was on. Guess I'll need to go beg a favour from a mate witha garage to get him to plug in his code reader and see where the error is coming from, if its a cheap fix I'll get him to do it, expensive fix and it'll be a sopares or repa...
