random wire

Anybody know what the random wire is lurking in the under floor storage compartment of my espace?
Found no info online and the handbook only says some models house a piece of electrical equipment here.
Any ideas?

lowering towcar

Hi guys, The bug has bitten again and I feel the need to mess about. All the roads in Sheffield are being resurfaced so if ever there was a time to drive a lowered car it is now. I asked the wife if she wanted the Espace and if i could have the meg back so I could slam it properly. Unsurprisingly sh...

Re: Awful smell when Engine is warmed up

:-) I know you said it's likely not to be electrical but it's worth checking electric window motor. Our meg would stink about 10 mins into driving and motor was burning out due to water ingress; said window is on it's third motor.
At least if you check it you can discount it.

Re: mass air flow sensor

Just an update regarding the maf. I've left it disconnected for 2 full tanks of fuel and apart from an ever so slightly rougher idle on cold mornings (very slight indeed!) mpg has improved! Averaged 25mpg instead of 20mpg this month and managed 450 mile from a full tank. Add together the fact that e...

Re: mass air flow sensor

:-) So maybe loose the KnN and new maf might be the solution.
However our megane has had KnN panel filter for a few years and had no problem with maf.

Re: mass air flow sensor

To my knowledge they have all been oem quality, and all been replaced on the parts warranty.
I have unplugged the maf but are there any dangers of I leave it unplugged?
I read somewhere that KnN filters have oil on them which can upset the maf, but is this a load of rubbish?

mass air flow sensor

Ey up team.
My espace 2.2dci auto has been through 4 maf sensors in the past couple of month, when they fail car is in limp mode with no warning lights. Unplug maf or change it and it's fine, until maf goes again.
Does anyone know why this could be happening?
Cheers. :-)

Will try old walkman but I'm not hopeful :(

Re: Alloy wheel size increase by1"

Basically, no.
My meg ran 16s as standard which I upgraded to 19s then back down to 17s.
As long as you have the correct tyre size you will be absolutely fine.
