Re: New Speedo Clock

I'm sure the mileage is stored on the clocks themselves.

I went to look at a scenic to buy and it had the clocks changed at 52,000 and it was reset to 0. With the new clocks showing 31,000 however there was no proof of the "warranty" work carried out so I walked away.

Re: New Speedo Clock

My appologies, after reading my comment i admit it was rather rash. The way I read it was that you just broke the bulb instead of sorting out the actual problem, didn't give it any thought and found it amusing. You are honest in wanting to sort out the problem rather than just selling it on to save ...

Re: Ph1/Ph2 Headlights

I was pretty confident the ph2 secondary catch pull was a slightly different shape. I compared the two together. Maybe I didn't look properly :)

I did mean the secondary catch release pull, not the catch just incase it caused any confusion.

Re: New Speedo Clock

As above. It's clear you don't have a clock fault and even if you put new clocks in you would still get a airbag light! It's obviously an airbag fault as the light is on for a reason. They don't come on for the fun of it! Do you trade on eBay? If so what's your username just so I can make a mental n...

Re: entering radio code

Enter the code using the 1, 2, 3 & 4 keys. For each number on the code you need to press that key that amount of times. Ie: code is 4120 You need to press, Button 1 four times Button 2 once Button 3 twice And don't press anything on button 4. Then you need to press and hold button 6 until you he...

Re: Dead battery issue, advise please.

So have you sorted the steering locked problem then?

The car should start if you've left it on for 20 mins.
Did you hold the revs up between 2-3,000 rpm when pressing the start/stop button?

Re: Car ******steering locked sign...non starter

It would defiantly be worth trying the other key first.

Re: Car ******steering locked sign...non starter

Second hand locks are programmed to the cars you take them from. You will be wasting your money by buying second hand.
It's basically an expensive paperweight.

Re: Ph1/Ph2 Headlights

If you get second hand ph2 headlamps they should come with the brackets. I didn't swap brackets on mine just the lamps with the brackets attached.

I'm 99% sure you shouldn't have to change the brackets.

Re: change rear pads on 2005 ren magane

I would remove the calipers from the car, and spray plenty of WD40 on the bleed nipples, if theres visible corrosion on the outside around the threads brush over with a wire brush. Use a ring spanner not a open ended one as you could round it off trying to undo it. I would get someone to hold the ca...

I'm from Telford with a black 5 door Megane. It has Clio 172 wheels on now.

My reg is similar to that one you've posted you sure it was MT03? Where abouts did you see this Megane?

Re: change rear pads on 2005 ren magane

From what i have heard being a mechanic in the motor trade it is now illegal for any garage to clamp any flexible brake pipe hose. I have always used a brake pedal depresser to hold the brake pedal down then release the brake pipe on the caliper, doing this stops the brake fluid trickling out the pi...

Re: Ph1/Ph2 Headlights

Ph2 bumper and lights bolt straight onto the ph1 front panel correct. However you will need the secondary bonnet catch release pull which is held on by the two 30 Torx bolts on the front panel. The ph2 one curves so when you pull the release you can pull the black tab through the grill to lift the b...
