i had the same problem - caused my battery to go flat and i had to call the rac out (had been left for a couple of days) - now whenever me or my girlfriend get something out of the well pockets we pretty much stamp on it to make sure its shut!!

just to let everyone know in case anyone else is unfortunate enough to have the same problem - a replacement fuse box costs £381 to replace. So the moral of the story is if you own a 2002/2003 megane dont ever park it outside or let rain go anywhere near it because the incompetent megane design mean...

is it an expensive thing to replace though?

the guy did say i would need a new cover that had a water seal on it - if this is a known design fault what do you reckon my chances of complaining to renault and getting somewhere are?!! (none, to not a chance?!)

i had the toxic fumes light come on (and stay on constantly) on friday on my way down to devon for weekend - phoned the renault garage to ask if it was still safe to drive and was told it should be fine, was prob just a sensor but i should stop if the stop light comes on or the car starts mis-firing...

it is the whole unit - ive been trying to think of a way of packing it out with something, but without being able to unscrew it to put something between the control and the bit its vibrating against im not sure what to use! hadnt thought of pvc tape though which might work so il give it a go - thanks!
