Re: Programming Renault Tyre Valve Sensors

Apparently, it is very easy to disable the tyre pressure monitoring system in the ABS computer. Use ECU Tweak tool for Android and ELM327 for it, as in my other thread.

Re: Tyre guide..

Revisiting many years after... When changing the rim/tyre size it is possible to bias the readings of the speedometer. This can be corrected by updating the configuration of the ABS computer with Clip or a free tool ECU Tweak , see my other thread about free software tools and EM327 interface. With ...

Free Renault Diagnostic Software Clip-like: PyClip (PyRen), ECU Tweak (DDT4All), AndOBD

I've been using these for a while, decided to share... Clip diagnostic computer is expensive, but this days one can get similar functionality with free programs for Android (or other computers) and a cheap interface unit based on ELM327. For Android one needs an OBD box having either Bluetooth or Wi...

Re: low battery warning

I meant that there can be corrosion damage to the UPC if the wheel arch liner let's spray in. This is easy - either fix the visible damage or replace the block. This is what garages usually do. If it is OK, then significant expertise will be needed to check the functions of the individual signals. T...

Re: Clutch not returning to position / bleeding the clutch

This part looks like a clutch damper (sometimes called clutch resonator, perhaps due to imperfect translation from French), but in the workshop manual it's called "piping with filter" (unclear whether they meant a sediment filter or vibration filter). The damper's only purpose is to reduce...

Re: Megane II 1.4i Firing issues

My guess is that the buzzing noise is either solenoids or the stepper motor on the throttle. When the ECU is unsure about throttle position, it attempts to close it. A problem with the battery voltage may trigger such a behaviour. Some electrical buzzing is usually heard under the bonnet just before...

Re: Megane II 1.4i Firing issues

The next time this happens check the voltage of the battery. It may be loosing charge overnight, but then quickly charges once the engine has started. Check, clean and protect with silicone or other grease the terminals and any associated contacts. I think the problem is somewhere around the battery.

Easy Fix for Clicking Door Strap/Retainer

The driver's door was clicking loudly. Upon some research I found that this is often caused by the retainer shifting up or down in its rollers. So, looked into mine - it was in the low position. Apart from this, everything looked good. I found a cheap solution not involving taking off the door panel...

Re: Megane III inc. R.S.250 cabin filter replacement guide

The same job again - took just over an hour, and bruises were avoided by padding the door sill with sheet foam. It is still a pig of a job... The first step is to remove three pieces of plastic: pull the kick panel near the clutch pedal, pull the panel near the door with the airbag switch on it, the...

Replacing Front Discs on RS250/265/275 Brembo

So, I found it out... Brembo caliper bolts to Perfohub (two long bolts per side):...

Re: Megane 225. Acceleration problem

With a fuelling problem there will be abnormal trim values on OBD... You may also look at the boost pressure live readings, also on OBD. One more option is the dephaser stuck in the retarded position. If the case, then it may rattle on startup or may be just stuck. Hi Bob there isn't no fault codes ...

Re: Keycard battery life - 24 hrs

It is safe to remove the battery from the card, no programming required after.

q292u wrote:I wouldn't risk removing the battery for any length of time!
I'd be worried that it would lose some crucial (RenaultSpeak for "expensive") setting..
