Re: Brake problems

Hi mate, Did you wind the rear caliper pistons back when you changed the pads or did you push them back? They need winding back. If you've pushed em back, which is very difficult to do, you may have damaged the pistons, seals etc.... which 'may' cause spongy brakes. I changed my pads 3 mths ago and ...

Megane 225 ( 2006) rear discs incl bearings

Hi, Does anybody know how easy it is to fit new rear discs complete with bearings, is it a matter of removing the brake caliper, removing the lock nut and sliding the complete disc / hub off or do I need any special tools such as a hub puller etc.... Adding to this, where is the best place to get th...

Re: CHANGE OIL SOON message

Cheers Freddymecurystwin for the reset link. Follo'd the instructions and Bingo, no 'change oil soon' message. There was no sarcasm intended in my post to Jo, like lots of 'new' members, knowing where to look etc.... is not always as obvious as it may seem. Jo, follo the link from above but only aft...

Re: CHANGE OIL SOON message

Hi Jo, I posted a similar question regards this 'change oil soon' icon that appeared, so far, the people who have read the post don't know the answer as I 've had no answers to my post, good luck with it tho. We could do with more Renault Mechanics on the forum, they'd be able to answer the more com...

Megane 225 misfire? coil?

Hi there, My 1st post but its in relation to my 2006 225 that has 47k on it. It seems to drive ok but every now and then I seem to get an occasional misfire, or at least thats what it feels like. Is this a common problem? Some posts seem to relate to a 'usual' coil fault. Anybody any ideas on this o...
